Osage, also known as Osage City, is located in Osage county. The post office was established in November 1906. Located on the Osage Nation Reservation, the townsite development was approved by the U.S. Department of the Interior. The sale of residence and business lots began on August 11th 1909. The town incorporated as Osage City on February 23rd 1911.
