Drumright is located in Creek county. It developed as an oil boom town. The post office was established on December 28th 1912. Local landowners James W. Fulkerson and Aaron Drumright decided to plat a townsite. Locally called Fulkerson, the town was renamed Drumright in 1913 for Aaron Drumright.
